Vintage Stamp

Hope all is well on your side of the World.

I am editing this post, it is 25/01 today to add another card made with this stamp. The on-line store in France had a sale of alcohol inks, half price so I got  some different colors which I have never used before.  This card uses Sandal, Oregano and Salmon. How I got some lavender tints in there, I do not know!

I have been playing with this very old Vintage stamp (on the left) of the first photo. I used my scraps to make the squares in coordinating colors. The first card is stamped with Versafine Vintage Sepia and the second with Versafine Onyx Black. The first one is softer than the second.

This stamp is from Hampton Arts.

More scraps that have been saved from the bin and added to my basket.

Stamping collage Bird cards

I love birds on cards, you probably hadn't noticed... :)

Here are some I did a while ago

This bird is from Artistic Outpost and remains one of my favorites all-time. I used different stamps quite randomly.

This is the Robin stamp from Artistic Outpost, love it too. The rest of the stamps are Hero Arts.

I stamped one of the new Hero Arts tag stamps with distress ink just around the sides, leaving the centre open to add different stamps.

And here is a collage of my own birds, my chickens which I have had since September 2013.  I get three eggs each day and they are so fun to have! Dotty is the bold one, she flies out of the coop at times. Dilly is the greedy one, always snatching away food from the others, but she does give me the biggest eggs! Dally is the elegant one. I really love studying their characters.

Watercolor

I have received so much mileage out of this stamp. I wanted to try my new color distress markers.
Stamps like this are timeless, good for so many occasions - that is why I love Hero Arts so much!

My new colors are Evergreen Bough, Iced Spruce and Peacock Feathers.

New challenge - The Card Concept 1

Through Lin's blog I saw that a new challenge blog has been launched. The link is here. I decided to have a go, but not sure if I got the colors exact enough. It was fun anyway, using some of the new stamps from Hero Arts, which I showed on this post. I would say that this is a layered CAS design.

Here are the colors:

Until next time!

Hero Art's Collage Stamp refreshed

Thank you all so much for the lovely reactions to my last post about becoming a Grandma! How very nice and kind of you all - I was so touched! What a fabulous community this is!

Today I'm sharing how I changed a Hero Arts collage stamp - so very easy with distress markers. I colored the stamp with the markers but did not color the original flower, left that blank. Then when stamped I inked up another flower stamp and stamped it on the collage in its place. Hope you can follow! It gives extra mileage to stamps that don't get used very often.

Good News and Home Decor project

I have to tell you something: I'm going to be a Grandma! In May of this year, Vivian, Joël's wife is going to have their first baby. I remembered when I was sick that one of my prayer's was that I would be able to see my children's children.

This is my latest piece of Home Decor which I have framed and hung up already.
A lot of the stamps are from the new 2014 release of Hero Arts, the Cherish and Forever clings.

Less is More

I am playing with the challenge on the Less is More blog which can be found here.

The theme is Winter blues and I thought this new stamp from the Hero Arts series 'Cherish' would fit the bill, to create a one-layer CAS card.

This is what the Stamp set looks like: AC032.
