Inspired by Gothic Arch E-Book

Just a quick post as I am so busy, but have been working on and off on this arch this week as I got so inspired by Nancy's E-book.

Haven't made an arch for so long and I so enjoy making them.
Have a nice weekend. The weather here is hot!!

Tag Tuesday #57 - Postage

We have had visitors for two days which I had to care for, so I am a bit behind on just about everything, which isn't always a bad thing!

I'm representing France with the tag challenge this week with my French postal stamp, which has been stamped with a rather nice round stamp from the Post Office on it, although partially visible.

I'm going to put the tags I've saved on cards, because the basket is getting over full.

The challenge can be found here with thanks to Louise of KardKrazy.

Gothic Arch E-Book by Nancy James

Nancy from Sugar Lump Studios shared her Gothic Arch E-book with us today.

I was so happy to see this arch and two others of mine featured in it.

Roses arch

Here is her book:

She has been busy preparing it for a long time and looking for a publisher. Finally it is available in E-Book form and hope it will be published soon!

For those interested, here is the link.

Tag Tuesday - Men

Not at all my favorite crafting subject - masculine cards or tags are just not my cup of tea - I don't enjoy crafting with this theme in mind. But I am so attached to the Tuesday challenge that I will try my utter best to come up with something, if I can.

I was thinking of sharing something today from the heart and I wanted to be able to relate to your hearts. I know alot of ladies are going through menopause and it's not always nice to go through changes which make us uncomfortable. But I have found that I can still harden my heart towards God and not even be aware of it! I have times when I can be so disappointed that I am still so arrogant, so unloving and unforgiving - that I can actually make life heavy for those around me... I SO NEEDED A LOVING SAVIOUR! I am so lucky to have a DH who cares enough and is stubborn enough to keep on loving me. My only comfort is the Scriptures and I thought about Peter today who had said to Jesus that he would never betray him - even if everybody else did, he would stick by Jesus. The cock crowed three times and Peter cried bitterly because he had to conclude that in his own strength, he just couldn't do it. Jesus knew that and it took a crisis for Peter to discover his own heart. That's why we must rejoice if God disciplines us because it is for our own good. I had to think of this verse :

"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin". 1 John 1:7

A wonderful invitation and promise from the Lord to keep our hearts in peace and harmony with Him and each other!

Some more little photos of our garden.

Converting unused projects to grids

Today was time to use up the scraps..

Inchie card

Inchie card

.. well those projects that have never materialized into a card. Either I was not satisfied or something went wrong on it - so after a while I just stamp with my Hero Arts Square stitched-edge background stamp and cut the projects up into squares and make something totally different with them. This way, I still have a card and still have the projects but presented in a different way..

I am also going to enter these into the 'In Stitches' challenge on Jenny's blog here as I used a stamp with faux stitching.

PDCC challenge with colors

I'm joining in the color challenge on this blog today. Sorry I'm not consistent in leaving a little spiritual note but I'm not very inspired on any level at the moment. The only thing that seems to work is the vintage style. So this is my third attempt.

Here is the inspiration picture.

and this is another one I made, which I decided I didn't like to much.

If I could leave a word of encouragement it would be a verse that is a mighty weapon against one of the devil's most successful objectives and that is to bring us under condemnation. I don't know about you but this spiritual stronghold is very strong in this country and before you know it you can feel under condemnation. But the Word of God says
'There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus" Rom.1:1
The only way to oppose it is by proclaiming this Bible verse!

Just adding a little picture of the cherries we just picked from our tree in the garden.

The lavender is getting out of hand, the bushes are enormous. These are not fully flowering yet - I will take another photo later in the month.

Good night.

Tag Tuesday #55 - My favorite things

The weekly tag challenge over on Louise's blog is to make a tag using your favorite things...

These are 1) the color tints of pink and beige to brown 2) a patchwork background 3) a vintage image 4) script stamped and in the form of a sentiment 5) butterflies 6) flowers 7) distress ink vintage photo for the edges 8) string 9) chiffon ribbon and 10) I love tags.

I can't get my creative act together so was happy these scrap pieces just fell together, otherwise I probably would still be wondering what to do tomorrow as well.

Tag Tuesday - revisited on a little 'music' note...

If only I had waited for just a day, as I was so inspired by Linda and Kris's tags for this challenge (found here and here).

Actually this tag represents a little bit of France for me. I love pink and burgundy tints which the flowers represent. The French text on the background panel. I watch the swallows everyday as they elegantly dive to drink from the swimming pool. I love pink ribbon, especially the silky type as it is easy to tie.
The sentiment is a 1 dollar stamp that I found in a basket at Michaels probably around four or five years ago!
Thanks to the Graphics Fairy Karen, as she shared this download, ages ago (don't ask me to go find it though!).
I love it when something comes together.

Tag Tuesday - Music

The Tag Tuesday challenge can be found here.

I'm afraid I'm out of inspiration, just could not think of anything different, than my normal little collage style. Luckily I have a music stamp. Creating is something that cannot be forced so I'm giving up for today and posting my second option!

Have a lovely week!
