Hero Arts Real Dill stamp

So happy with this stamp.

I am looking on Ebay for more of Hero Arts real flower stamps to play with. I get the most satisfaction out of textured stamps like this and a meadow scene on a card can be for so many occasions.

Sunday scraps - 30 on Stamping Mathilda's blog

Godelieve uses her scraps of the week on Sunday to make stunning little projects, from tags to cards. I'm joining in this week.

I took everything red and pink out of my smallest scrap basket and made one of my favorite types of cards - the grid. I don't have anymore 'small' scraps this color! Amazing how everything went onto this card.

Challenge sketch 29

Today I saw a sketch I rather liked on Vanessa's blog and she gave the link to the website called Card Patterns

This is my entry and I managed to do another trio of butterflies again.

(note on 03/09/2009 - I was one of the six chosen from 56.)

Tag Tuesday - trio

So happy to be participating in the tag challenge every tuesday on Louise's blog.

Of course, I had to use three butterflies on my tag... and my new Real Dill stamp from Hero Arts.

Thanks Louise! If anybody is interested in joining in, the challenge can be found here!

Grid card - brown

I love making these cards, so relaxing and gives me a feeling that all the little bits of scraps get used for a purpose.

Here I selected most of the brown-tinted scraps I have to make this.

Vintage collage

A little vintage tag I made on holiday:

Our holiday in Spain was fantastic, every day sunshine, blue skies and high temps. The sea was crystal clear, even in the deep areas and it was great to see the fish and the rocks under the water. My son had taken a bottle of sea water back to the apartment which could easily of been mistaken for tap water, and put it in a bowl in the sun. After evaporation the salt residue filled up a quarter of a plastic cup!
We had a lovely relaxing time with two of our sons, visiting different beaches along the coast line of the Costa Brava. This is the only time I really get to eat fish too, I just love it, eating outside, looking over the sea. There is a constant smell of garlic, herbs and fish in the air as you pass by all the little cafés.

Another wonderful piece of news is that our son Michaël who was at Bible camp in Holland for a week was touched by the Lord, so much so that he asked his dad to pray with him to accept Jesus Christ into his heart! We saw our son emerge from the shadows into the full light of God's truth and once again saw how the Holy Spirit has the power to transform a human heart! Michaël had been searching for "proof" for a long time... he would come home from school confused and irritated after 'evolution" class and would be in discussion with his dad about it.
We knew that our prayers, but eventually God's faithfulness would have to give him the proof he needed! What a joy as parents to lead our own sons into this safe place of refuge and be able to start our day together with prayer as a family! To hear my son Joël play the guitar singing to the Lord is just a dream come true!

So that was just a little bit about me...

Just had to say hello!!

It has been such a long time and I am missing everybody! I have my sister and her DH round for a week and I just returned from Spain which doesn't leave me much room to really concentrate and with temps in the 100F - it is hard to create let me tell you!

BUT, I do have something to share be it something very simple. I had been looking for the 'Real Dill' stamp from Hero Arts for at least five weeks and could not even find it on Ebay. I contacted HA directly and they told me that they had found one at an on-line store in France! I followed the link only to find that it was out of stock. A lady named Pia from Denmark who makes incredible cards with HA stamps picked up my SOS and told me that she had found one at a HA store in California and that she would get one for me. Well, today it arrived! At the same time I noticed a plant in my neighbors garden that looked exactly like the stamp only to find out that the dill herb grows everywhere in my surroundings.

The challenge at HA this week was to put down the phone and send a card to somebody, so this is my card for a very kind friend of mine.

Hope you are all well and see you again soon!
