Case this sketch - 22

Happy Sunday! The weather is beautiful today, although cold. We are going in the right direction for Spring. But weather it rains or is sunny, the Lord remains the same FOREVER! That is good news.

I am joining in with this sketch which can be found on this challenge blog. Haven't done a blog challenge for a while, and I saw this on Virginia's blog.
I just recently bought a new stamp set from Hero Arts - three tags, from the Art of the Card set AC019.
They look like this :

I thought they would be versatile to use in all sorts of ways. For the sketch challenge I used the Attention stamp and just decorated it with little scraps of PP.

I used the Newspaper Tulips stamp K5576 from Hero Arts which I stamped with distress markers. The stamp which I stamped direct to the card base is a French stamp definition of Spring, called Printemps.

Have a lovely day!

Tag and cookies

Hello! I hope your Christmas was peaceful and enjoyable! No snow here, in fact we had such high temperatures that it felt like a summer's day here.

I'm sharing two little projects (in one photo) that I enjoyed doing last night. I found a little box full of old scraps so I designed this little tag with them. The tag is a download which I printed out twice in two different sizes. I have to say that I love the Dogwood stamp. I used distress markers and sprayed with water.
The little bag to the right, is a Magazine project from Daphne's Diary, which probably some of my Dutch friends will recognize.

For Christmas I treated myself to a little Chocolate mould biscuit set. I saw it at the local supermarket for a good price. Loved the French theme. Here is the result.

I am getting in the crafting mood once again and just love Pinterest for inspiration too.
Hoping you have a wonderful, creative and BLESSED New Year!

Paper Crafting Tips and Tricks Week: The Journaling Cards Challenge

I love these challenge weeks that Cath hosts on the Moxie Fab World Blog! I won't be able to do all the challenges, but this one really inspired me. Cath says: 'Created as journaling prompts for layouts, journaling cards aren't just for scrapbookers any more'! The challenge can be found here. Even though I don't have any journaling cards, I found this one which was for free download on the Internet. Now, I'm wishing I did have some because the possibilities are endless with them!

This is the card I made, using Hero Arts Stamps. The roses, from the Pattern, heart and flowers set CL596, have been embossed and painted with distress ink dried Marigold. The whole sentiment reads: I am thankful for... YOU, which is part of a sentiment which I stamped.

As I had some scraps over, I thought I would use a journaling card to make a Tag too. The sentiment reads, I am thankful for... the little things, which once again is part of a Hero Arts sentiment.

26/10 - Then, I actually did find a journaling card in my stash, so I thought I would make it into a little love-letter for my DH... The writing is on the back of course... This little heart is from Hero Arts too, never used it until now.

31/10 - I have a couple more Journaling cards to share, so instead of creating another link, I'm adding them to this one

and this one

And I made this one which was a case of one of my Blog friends Hellemor's cards, for theStitching and Sewing challenge, which can be found here

I stitched around the edge and then turned the panel over before I adhered the stamped panel and I stamped a faux zigzag HA stamp at the bottom.

Quote from the blog:
All hail the latest and greatest special issue from Paper Crafts magazine! With its roots in the PC101 column found in every edition of the regular magazine, Paper Crafting Tips & Tricks gives you 6 moxie creative ideas on how to utilize products and techniques in your paper crafting and then shows you 6 additional ways to incorporate those ideas into actual projects.  All totaled, there are 252 inspiring ideas, and we're going to be celebrating along with Paper Crafts Connection all week long!

Today's challenge is squares, which I love working with for grids, but I don't think that is innovative enough for Cath! Will have to thank about that one.

A little bookmark

This is a little bookmark I made a while ago. It is a recycled label from a pair of jeans one of the boys bought. All I had to do was decorate it. Here is how it works in a book, very handy!

This is the whole tag - of course this model is very easy to copy and make many more, even as little gifts

I think I just gave myself a little idea!

A quick scrap tag and another give-away

Sunday, 21/11

I have added another tag which I will send to the second person whose number is chosen:

Why do I call this a scrap tag, because the base has been covered with little scraps I had needing to find a home. I stamped the hydrangea, colored it in, but then lost the outline, so I stamped again over the top - although not exactly in line with the first, it gives a different effect.

This is another stamp-set that I just do not use and cannot find a way to use them either. I have thought of a grid but they are just not practical or versatile enough for me. Nice and light in the post, I am offering them to anybody who leaves a comment between now and Monday morning.

I will send the tag with it and perhaps other bits and pieces from my scraps.

Hope you will join in!

A Christmas tag

I think this is my favorite pastime at the moment, making Christmas tags... just as well as I have quite a list of people to send too...

I love this color combo. This is an image from the Christmas Stamp plate (Artistic Outpost) that dear Sue sent to me - I love this image too.

Wishing you all a peaceful weekend. We are having exceptionally mild and sunny weather at the moment, I have been sitting out enjoying the sunshine!

Another butterfly tag

Another butterfly tag - made quite a while ago but never posted on my blog.

Tag

Thankfully we have cooler weather! I went for a walk in the vineyards this afternoon and as I see all of those lovely grapes just waiting to be picked then I always feel that longing to be a fruit-bearer in God's Kingdom.

John 15:1 - "I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vine-dresser.
verse 4: Abide in Me, and I will abide in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me."

Actually this verse says that if we abide in the Vine we shall automatically bear fruit!

As you can see on the photo, the best and biggest bunches of grapes are those that grow the closest to the vine. The leaves on the first photo are even beginning to change color already.

My tag holder

Bumped into this wall ornament the other day, in the sales.. I thought it would be a handy place to put my tags in.

I made some tags a while ago to be sold for the mission in Zambia. Here are some of them.

and these

So enjoy making tags!

Just had a request to show the heart-tag on the first photo close-up, so here it is:

Thank you to ALL who take the time and kindness to leave me a little comment, it just makes my day to stay in contact!

Several things

A couple of tags I made recently. The wings of the little girl on the first tag were made by stamping the latest butterfly stamp that Hero Arts brought out.

I made a grid of the photos taken this and last year of the area in which I live. These are mostly just outside my front door - such a breathtaking view of the mountains!

(Please click on the photo for a closer look)

I posted this card last week on my blog - I am wondering whether anybody other than Suzanne got the clue?? I stamped the image of the face on an image of a ballerina...
