Autumn colors

I was inspired by the colors of this gorgeous card, made by Chris in England and it made me think of the vineyards that turn these colors in the Autumn.

I used distress inks and the acylic block technique and embossed the Dogwood with bronze.

This background of this second card went wrong actually, I tried a technique where you iron off the embossing powder but it didn't leave a white trace so I stamped over the top with this Collage Bird stamp from Hero Arts. I made a mistake though... you will probably see it, I didn't get a straight edge at the top and that bothers me, but it was too late to change it!
Have a lovely sunday!

  10. Hello Jacqueline
Mistakes can turn into beautiful cards,(like these. I know how you feel about the straight edge it would bother me too, leave it for awhile you maybe able to fix it later, some people would say 'it is a hand made card', but that does not mean it must not be perfect!!!!!

  12. Isn´t it a lovely coincidence that you should make a ´mistake´ Jacqueline! Your card really has that artistic feel to it, I think it´s superb! Very rich in colour and your choice of stamps is wonderful. Hope you´re doing fine. Hugs, Ira

  13. If you hadn't mentioned that mistake on card #2, I wouldn't have seen it!! Both cards turned out beautifully, and I love the color combo you picked: so warm, so earthy.

  14. Hi Jacqueline. I am so glad that you are feleeling a bit better. I hope we both are strong enough to our session this week.

Both your card are lovely. The flower stamp on the firts card I find very difficult to use. I am looking forward to see your creations. Thanks for the inspiration.
    Hugs Helle
