As I will be having another wine-label give-away, I am announcing the two winners today.

They are :  ZUB MOMI and GUNILLA;
Please get in touch with me at

Now I have a card share - an uncluttered card using a tag and everything I love about Nature.

Just sharing some thoughts with you.
Lately the Lord has been talking to me about thoughts and feelings.
How often do we believe our thoughts, or our feelings, and choose them above what God's Word, the Bible, says? Just recently I read this :

God understands that when we go through trials we tend to forget His perspective and adopt an emotion-driven perspective.

An example for me would be my letting go of David, my handicapped son. Last November I had a very emotionally driven perspective. But I did let go, in faith, and have seen in the following six months that from God's perspective it was the best decision we could have made at that time. David has adapted and is living the best life he could live at the moment.
We were sharing at a dinner recently with friends and heard of an elderly couple who couldn't let go of their handicapped daughter. She is 46 now and the parents are no longer able to look after her. Now they have to find a solution - imagine the heartbreak for the parents, but imagine the adaption their daughter will have to make.
It is so important to look at life from God's perspective too. That is why prayer is so important - it brings us in touch with God and His Word and teaches us what is the correct way to think, to trust and to handle! God's way is always the best! I have seen how he has taken care of David, how life's changes have shown me that he can be independent, that I was a smothering mother that did everything for him. He is becoming more and more independent and although I still miss him during the week - I have let go.
If you want to share what you have learned about this, please do, I would love some inter-action on my blog!
As I read this afternoon, "God wants to free us from the burden of worry and anxiety, to pause and focus on His gentle leading in our lifes. By reflecting on His Word, we gain new insights and encouragement that allows us to let go and experience the contentment that comes from trusting God." (Quote from Linda Dillow, all thanks to Maria in Russia who advised me of this lady's book)
I hope this blesses you in the situations of life you may face today.
Bible verse:
But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope. The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is they faithfulness.
The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I will hope in Him.
Lamentations 3:21-24( paraphrased)

P.S. - If you are looking for a delicious salad recipe for the summer months - here is one I found on Pinterest and made last night.

  1. Beautiful card! Thanks for sharing your story and glad your son is becoming more independent. That will be a blessing to you both in the long run. Your thoughts are a blessing for me to reflect on today.

  2. Lovely, such pretty tag, great layering of the stamping.
So glad to hear your son is doing so well, sometimes it is hard to listen to what God wants us to do, I am glad you were able to listen to what he was asking you to do and act on it.

  3. Love your beautiful CAS card with it's nature design Jacqueline.
Such special thoughts on how we should always be trusting of the Lord, most times we would want to hear our own voice in our head and think that at that precise moment, we will make the right decision and then trust on the Lord, how blessed are we then to realize that he had played a part in the process anyway because he takes care and never fails us. I was so touched by your story of the elderly couple Jacqueline, so happy that David is doing well and so are you.
Loved reading your post today:-) Big hugs!!!

  4. In our Bible study of Philippians this morning we were looking at chapter 2, verses 12-18, and how Paul was able to rejoice knowing what awaited him when his life on earth was over. While it must have been difficult for you putting David in care it's great that he is learning to be independent. And as my s-i-l posted on Facebook, they are not really our kids but His kids on loan to us.

Many blessings to you and your family. Oh and by the way, gorgeous card as always.

  5. Beautiful card! I so love your style!
Reading your post it made me think of one of our young men in Thursday Club ... all the group are physically and mentally challenge and the young man I am speaking of has Downs ... recently he was moved from his sister's care into a residential home .... I could hardly believe the change in him ... He is such a lovely person and he looks 'brand new' (the only way I can put it). He is so happy and very much loved and his smile just shines! I don't know why he was moved ... I know she loves him dearly ... But I do know it was the best thing that could have happened to him.

  6. What a timely post, Jacqueline. Thank you for sharing how important it is to keep God's perspective in mind. I can see how that has helped you in dealing with your son leaving home. As my only child (son) is moving tomorrow to relocate in California, I really need to remember that. Plus you have shared my favorite scripture verse as well!
    Bless you, Louise

  7. Gorgeous card Jacqueline, the tag shape comes out even more shapely like this, wonderfully adorned with that pretty bird and butterfly.
Such a lovely post, it is true that we humans are being led in a certain direction, even if the paths we take can be rough sometimes we have to keep faith for in the end it will all be good.

  8. thank you for sharing your very beautiful cards. i really love the watercolour style and would like a tutorial from you and also to know some of the distress ink colours you use. also love the butterflies. where do they come from? you have so many different styles and shapes of butterflies - i need to know! i hope i am not asking you to divulge too many of your crafting secrets! thank you, val
