This first card will accompany the winner of this stamp set, which I am giving away today. The bird is one of my favorite stamps from Artistic Outpost. They have a lovely blog here.
Unfortunately it is a set I have hardly used, not a 'go-to' set for me at all, but it might be for somebody else. As you know I'm reluctant to keep things I don't use. My thanks to Stella who went to a Dutch shop to get these for me. I know she will understand. Just leave a comment and DS will pick a number this weekend.
You see that verse in the left-hand corner, it's so special to me. I received it as a promise from God ten years ago when I was ill and every time there was a need, somehow God got that verse to me again , via a card, a devotional, a book, a personal word, etc. etc. And this week, I received it again from an unexpected source. This promise is for ALL His children. He knows that we might fear, so He says DO NOT fear - I AM WITH YOU! I have at times had to speak to my own soul - do not fear, God is with you.... I am so happy with our Heavenly Father and so thankful for all the wonderful people I have met via the Craft World. You are so special and I feel so uplifted! I have another share of the beautiful cards I received this week.
It is now the 11th day after Chemo. Monday my white blood count had halved and I felt weak. Today I have more energy. I have a constant longing for a 'broodje kroket', only the Dutch readers will know what I mean. It is a croquet made from meat and ragout deep fried, eaten on brood with *mayonnaise (*optional)! And do you know what? It's something they don't sell in France!!! I long for one nearly the whole day. It's as if that will fill the hole in my stomach. So my dear MIL told me to make them myself.
My second share is a little tag. As you know I love birds, butterflies and flowers. I feel they give 'life' to a card. The bird image is also from Artistic Outpost, the Bluebird Stamp Plate.
God bless!
glad to hear you are feeling a little better Jacqueline. Your card is lovely as usual!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could say "feel better soon" and it would all go away for you. Unfortunately I don't have that kind of power, so all I can do is say that I hope that all you are going through now leaves you with nice sunshiny days ahead.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love your card. Its beautiful, as all your cards are!
HUGS!

You have a gift in making the prettiest of cards and tags Jacqueline, and also in choosing the right stamps for them, so pretty! Hope you're doing somewhat better now. Take care, Ira
ReplyDeleteElegant, beautiful card and tag - I always love your birds! I'm glad you are regaining strength. And it's good to hear you now have food cravings, instead of the nausea (hmmmm... another pregnancy-like symptom!). You are so strong of faith, I know you can and will seek and find comfort. Thinking of you! :) (Thanks for the chance to win that lovely stamp set... I'm surprised you are parting with butterflies!?! ;)

ReplyDeleteHello Jacqueline.
ReplyDeleteYou sound a little sad today,or perhaps you are just exhausted.
I am happy that you find solace in your faith, it reassures me that you will get through this traumatic period in your life. I believe we are all tested one time or another, and the people who handle these times best are the ones who have a strong faith or a strong will.
How many more days of the treatment do you have to tolerate?
Your cards are so beautiful, are as the ones you are receiving from your friends all over the world, this alone must uplift your soul. If they start slowing down any-time soon Jacqueline give a yell, 'OUT LOUD' we will hear you and answer your call.
We will get you through this, in a good head space, keep talking, keep up that positive attitude, even though it is very difficult, take one day at a time and take control.
We are all thinking of you every day, just keep that in the forefront of your mind.
Smiles:)
Fantastic cards and tags Jacqueline. I am thinking of you always and wishing you peace. Keep strong. I am glad you are able to do some crafting. It will help you get through this. Hugs to you

Geniet van je broodje kroket, je man kan die vast wel maken. Ik hoop en bid voor je dat je iedere dag weer wat meer energie krijgt.
