Second page Glue Book

I love making these pages! The background comes from a book I found in a little French village near us - it was in a container free of charge, so I took a couple.

I am happy to say that yesterday I took one of my biggest hurdles yet and am relieved it is behind me. I had a Scan which made it possible to calculate where the radio therapy should be applied. It is usually three places around the affected breast which is marked with a very small tatoo which looks like a pin prick. The rays will be aimed at those places, lasting one minute or so each time, everday for six weeks, excluding weekends.

The verse that God has spoken to me for 11 years now is:

Do not fear; for I am with you
Be not dismayed; for I am your God.
I will make you strong,
Yes I will help you,
Yes I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.
Isa.41:10

I had to lay still (was not allowed to move at all) for 30-40 minutes with my arm above my head and my head had to be at an angle... I was then moved into a machine for the scan. I had my eyes closed and was praying all the time so I didn't know what was happening! But when they came in after a very long time to relieve me, my arm was completely numb, I could not feel it! I was so relieved to have done that!
I don't know about you, but how many times do you hear yourself say 'I can't do that' in the many circumstances of life?

With God we can do much more that we ever think possible, so say to yourself in your situation
'I can do all things through Him who strengthens me' Phil. 4:13
and have a good day!

  3. You're so faithful, Jacqueline. I don't know when was the last time I said to myself: "I can't do that." I almost never do that, because just like He says, that He will be with me in everything I do.

  10. Another gorgeous page - I love your marvelous stamping, the colors are so wonderful! Happy to hear you got through your tough day - I'm sure it will get easier as you continue to get into the routine of the treatment... perhaps it can be your special prayer time every day, a time to "retreat" a bit, concentrate on your thoughts instead of on the therapy. Easy for me to say, much harder for you to do, I'm sure!!! But you have a very special gift in your faith, it will always help you through.

  19. Beste Jacqueline,
