Virginia's View Challenge #3 - Stitching

Happy Sunday!
This month's challenge on Virginia's View Challenge blog is Stitching. I am not good with a sewing machine and mine goes so fast (cannot slow it down :) that it's a waste of time even to think about it... A while ago I made some Tea Bag pockets with stitching, don't know why my sewing machine has seemed to age since then.
But, faux stitching is allowed and when I thought of my Hero Arts Stamp called 'Square Stitched Edge background that's when I saw a possibility to enter the challenge.

This is the inspiration photo - so many different ways to use stitching on a card!

This is my card. Once again I assorted six squares from my scrap box and stamped with the above mentioned stamp to get a faux-stitched look.

  1. I always love your grid cards, you really have an eye for colour. I'm all for faux stitching, but my reason is mainly because I am too lazy to take out the sewing machine each time and it's too bulky to really leave on my work surface. But, I also don't know how to do any fancy stitching! (Yes, I never understood the whole thing about Zentangle Stamps, I want to draw my tangles, not stamp them!)

  4. I love your grid cards too but this one is off the charts. Most faux stitching is very even but his stitching is not even. Beautifully done card Jacqueline. Bravo.

  20. Beautiful! Love your emerald colors, Jacqueline! Thank you for your thoughtful words on my blog. I was looking for you on Facebook today and could not find you. Did you leave it? In January I deleted Facebook from my phone so that I would not be distracted during the day. It was a good decision:)
