Share and a Baby card

Life has taken me away from Crafting for a while and I am still waiting for my granddaughter to arrive! Vivian had her parents over from Holland for a week, hoping that the baby would be born but sadly they had to return home today and a lot of tears were shed. I know all too well what it is like to have family far away as the choices to follow the Lord, where ever he leads, have been stronger.
Yesterday I had my third annual check-up and received a clean bill of health. Even the Oncologist said that I had an excellent report. I give all the thanks and the praise to God who has blessed me so abundantly and in so many ways, I could never count them!
A while ago I was going through a rough patch, well me and DH were, but not with each other, just in our circumstances. I believe it was ordained of the Lord to teach us in an error especially I was very weak in - and that is leaning on people instead of relying totally on the Lord. Without going into detail it was pure grace that God spoke to me at the beginning of it, although one still has to go through it, from Psalm 62. I tell you, one verse just sprung off the page deep into my spirit:

Ps.62:7 - On God rests my deliverance and my honor;

Not on other people, not in or of myself, not on my husband, but ON GOD!  Whatever anybody might say or do to you, realize that it is not on them but on God that your deliverance and your honor rests!
Of course we have to trust people, that is very important in life, but in those times when it is a matter of going forward or giving in to bitterness or unforgiveness - choose to trust in Him above man. If you read how David wrote Psalm 62 then he certainly learned this lesson too. He met people who 'blessed with their mouths, but inwardly they cursed him' - as Ps.62:4b says and that is so true. Even those we tend to put on thrones and look up too he says of in verse 9 'Men of low estate are but a breath, men of high estate are a delusion, in the balances they go up ; they are lighter than a breath'.  And lest I judge, I would not want to count on myself either to be trusted in by others!

I wanted to share the card I made for Joël and Vivian (I know she doesn't follow my blog). I am hoping the baby will arrive soon so that the joy will replace the sorrow!

I cut out the dress from a doily and added some little stick on pearls. It doesn't have to be difficult, just simple and to the point!

  1. Hello Jacqueline,
    Those babies do take their time in arriving don't they? That is the sweetest doily dress on your card:)
    Praise God for giving you the good report from the oncologist! Praise Him, Praise Him for your good Health!
    My mother has had 22 years of remission from non-hodgkins limphoma. God has been good to give us all these extra years with her!
    Just recently she was diagnosed with breast cancer..a HER2+. By any chance did you have that muntant form? We are perplexed with the recommended treatment for this type. Trusting the LORD for guidance in choosing the best path for healing.

    Thank you for the Biblical share on Ps.62, forgiveness. It is always a blessing to visit your blog.
