Nice challenge this week on Louise's blog to add stickers to your tag.
It would be better to tell you what is not a sticker on my tag, that is the vintage image and the butterfly. The rest are embossed stickers and paper stickers, which I would probably never ever have used if it were not for this challenge. In fact I got a sheet of the frame stickers in Miami on sale last year at Michaels, never used them! So how is that for using up your left-overs!! Thanks Louise!

Shabby Tearoom Challenge #3 - Let's get Scrappy!
A challenge blog called The Shabby Tearoom has a new inspirational challenge.
This is my card, definately using scraps, which I have had for a long time.
The inspiration picture below is the theme which is 'using scraps of any kind'. I hope it's shabby enough. Although the colors weren't necessary to use I liked to keep the original color scheme too.
I love a challenge.

The play Date Cafe - color challenge
These are the colors for this weeks Play Date Cafe challenge. I have been looking at these for a week now but having no inspiration whatsoever, until I thought of distress inks.
I thought these colors were quite masculine and I needed a birthday card for a man.
It's a simple card, symbolising maybe a Spring evening....

Tag Tuesday - Black and White
I just love color so it was a great challenge to just use black and white today, being the theme of the Tag Tuesday challenge, which is here.
I haven't used a vintage image for quite a while so I started out with that idea. I have a collage stamp from Hero Arts with a lacy border on it - which I stamped on a piece of vellum, embossed and cut out. The little butterflies are HA digi and the gingham background was green which I changed to black and white in Picasa photoshop. Added a white chiffon bow and the tag was ready.
The second tag has alot more direct stamping on it. An image of a little girl in Paris, from Crafty Individuals and a couple of digi butterflies too. I added a little rub-on thinking it could be used to say goodbye to somebody leaving France after a holiday.

My tag holder
Bumped into this wall ornament the other day, in the sales.. I thought it would be a handy place to put my tags in.
I made some tags a while ago to be sold for the mission in Zambia. Here are some of them.
and these
So enjoy making tags!
Just had a request to show the heart-tag on the first photo close-up, so here it is:
Thank you to ALL who take the time and kindness to leave me a little comment, it just makes my day to stay in contact!

Play Date Cafe Challenge # 21
This is the beautiful inspiration picture for this week's challenge.
I never really work with yellow, but I must admit I love it with two different color pinks!
The design team did a fantastic job on their cards, just beautiful. You can find their work here.
I used a rose stamp that I never use, so glad I kept hold of it. The butterflies are digi printed out on patterned paper.
Our house is being painted at the moment on the inside and I got to choose the colors... I have a beautiful vintage brown and beige on the walls now and I feel I'm living in a different house. The furniture seems to have regained it's value and I can play with other colors in the form of pictures and vases etc. that have remained in the cupboards without use. I love that! The colors green and yellow are actually finding a place in the living room! (Before, all the walls were a sterile white:).

Tag tuesday - Spring
The theme this week is *Spring* over on Louise's Tag Tuesday Challenge!
If you want to know where I found the tag and bird, there is a box in my sidebar called Tattered Vintage - there you can find some beautiful freebies.
Here is an Easter card I received from 'Aga' (her flickr name on the Hero Arts gallery) from England. I took part in a card chain and this is the beautiful card she sent me.

Stamping Around 05 Inspiration Challenge
This is the beautiful Inspiration picture on the blog of Stamping Around this morning.
I'm really getting to love these challenges with pictures!
This is my take of the challenge. Using the colors I made a grid with the patterned papers I could find resembling what I saw on the picture.

The Play Date Cafe Challenge - Inspiration picture
Via my friend Sue's blog I saw and loved the colors in this inspiration picture for this weeks challenge on The Play Date Cafe blog.
I haven't been inspired lately but this afternoon I just saw the Silhouette grass stamp mixed with lavender in my head and I had a card done in next to no time. That's the beauty of these stamps. I have a very old stamp from SU, dated 1997, which I used to create a pollen effect. The butterflies are digi, reduced in size. I love the fact that I can use lots of different scrap papers and just print out what I need, any size I need.
The Silhouette grass stamp is Hero Arts as well as the digi butterflies and the lavender is from Rubber Stampede.

Tag Tuesday - Arch tag
I really loved the theme today that Louise had for her challenge. To incorporate an arch or make an arch tag.
Happily I have a couple of arch stamps, which made it alot easier.
Thank you Louise and here is the link to the rest of the challenge entries on Louise's blog.

We couldn't go!
Because of the photo below we were unable to make the trip to the North yesterday. I really needed a little break and find myself working in the office again today.. as usual! I am determined to take a good walk in the snow this afternoon and take some pictures. I wonder how my little daffodils are taking it! We had at least 20 inches of snow, something that is very rare in these parts. But the scenery is breathtaking!
Yesterday afternoon we were without electricity and homebound. David and Michaƫl couldn't go to school because the buses weren't running. And today is the same. But the sun is shining and the melting process has begun.
So, yesterday I had a little chance to see if the inspiration was there or not and found myself puzzling pieces together from my scrap basket. Kind of rediscovered the collage type of card I love to do.

JOHN 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Just to share a little bit - I don't know about in your part of the world but there is definitely a shift going on in the Spiritual world here, it seems that things are coming to the light in God's Church that have been covered and the Christians are searching for the True Church where Love and acceptance, unity and fellowship abides.
But it brings a battle because Light and darkness don't go together! We are all in a war, if we like it or not and have to wear our spiritual Armour to protect ourselves. We need to stay close to the Word of God to receive discernment concerning false doctrines, which will come, the Bible says. We need fellowship too, as a mirror, so that we don't think we know it all!
These last weeks we have felt the wind of change and it's unsettling - one has to adapt even though it's a positive change. I have felt oppression and wanting answers, but God doesn't always give answers, we have to believe every step of the way.
The other day I was so needing wisdom that I was thinking, who can I call, who shall I ask to help me.... I knew, the only One who can really help and give wisdom without reproach is the Lord. So after wrestling for half an hour in prayer, I stood up, without receiving a Word of wisdom - but I did have PEACE! I thought, isn't that just God?? He didn't give me wisdom because I knew deep down what I wanted was none of my business, but He did give peace which surpassed all my understanding!! I was blessed.... but do you know what? The next day, I needed to go back to the Father and receive again!! Luckily GOD is always there, just a prayer away.

Inspired by.. Louise
I loved the color combo and design of a card by Louise found in this post. Since she had sent me some of those old stenographic papers, I so needed to try something like it myself. Thanks Louise, for the inspiration! And, if Vanessa is looking in, I finally used the beige/orange pp you sent me ages ago!!
This is also just to say that I will be away until the end of next week. I will have Internet but probably be too occupied and tired in the evenings to leave comments, but I love just looking sometimes!
Oh yes, my first daffodils popped up their heads in the garden this week - so here's a little taste of Spring in the South of France.
Have a blessed week!

Tag Tuesday - brown and one other color
I used brown and a Spring green color. The heart was cut out of a Hero Arts Stamp. The background was stamped on by another one of my favorite Hero Art stamps, the CardArt Thank You flourish.
Thanks Louise. Challenge can be found here.
