Teusday Trigger Pastel Pretties and Pinterest Inspiration

I took one look at the Easter-tinted picture on the Moxie Fab World blog and knew what I wanted to do to imitate this Teusday Trigger. If you are interested in playing along, the challenge can be found here.

I just used one flower stamp from Darkroom doors and multi-stamped in the colors of the eggs on the picture, although I think they are almond coated sweets.

The heavens declare the glory of God. Ps.19:1

For my second project I was inspired by the lovely grid patterns and colors in the picture on the left, which I found on Pinterest.

I stamped on the reverse side of a wine-label as I love the quality of the paper. I used the Silhouette Grass stamp from Hero Arts (S5316) for the background, colored wit bundled sage distress maker and then used the Floating Meadow stamp which has also been colored with distress markers and sprayed with water before stamping over the top of the grass. .

I hope to be back before the end of the week. Our weather is bad for the time of the year and I still don't feel as well as I would like.

Thanks for passing by!
God bless you

Batik Technique

I haven't been very well this week so I'm doing a quick post today. I'm quite sad because I can only have David home for a day, as I can't care for him as I would like to because of this flu bug.

Just sharing a card with the Batik technique and the Leafy Vines stamp from Hero Arts.I used distress inks to paint the background. When dry I ironed off the clear embossing powder.

Hope you are all well!

Winner of the stamp and card

The first signs of Spring in my garden:

I let my husband pick a number between 1 and 31 - and he said 18. I have chosen the 18th response. I know some of you didn't want to be included, but I think its fair this way.

Nr. 18 is Conniecrafter who said:

Wow the white embossing on the designer paper looks terrific, never would have thought of that, such pretty papers and lovely designs on all of these cards.
Sweet stamp, can't resist a stamp with birds or flowers :)

I have sent you an e-mail in the mean time Connie. THANK YOU to all who take the trouble to leave me a comment, I so appreciate it!!

White embossing on patterned papers and a giveaway

Just recently a lovely friend from the Hero Arts Flickr gallery sent me a gorgeous paper pad from Prima Marketing, called Botanical. I had been looking for these papers everywhere and found out that shipment from the USA had tripled in the bygone months! I had accepted not to buy them at such a high price and wait until I could find them nearer home.

This is the first card I made with one of the papers and found out that white embossing  was really effective. I stamped the Postcard Tag stamp directly to the paper and also the Lupine flower in the middle. After embossing I stamped a couple of postmarks and adhered three dragonflies to the center of the flower.

Stamped directly to the patterned paper with the design block Silhouette stamp and found a stray butterfly in my scrap basket that just hit the spot. Stamped a sentiment, added some lace and my card is ready.

I stamped with the new Leafy Vine stamp from Hero Arts, direct to patterned paper.
I had just pictured how it would look on this paper and I really love this stamp. I punched out six circles on corresponding paper for each side of the card and attached in one go with a strip of double sided tape.
I found this design on Pinterest.

Now I have a giveaway:

This stamp and me don't go together, so I would rather give it to somebody who will use it and have fun with it. I will pick somebody on Tuesday per random org.I will also send one of the above cards with it.

have a lovely Sunday!

Painted Flower from Hero Arts

This is one of the new stamps I got with my winnings on the Hero Arts Blog at the end of January.

I know already its going to be a favorite of mine. It stamps well, it's elegant and I get the results I want!
I used distress markers and sprayed quite richly with water straight to the stamp before I stamped the image on beige cardstock. Added a sentiment and it's ready to send to somebody. Quick and easy!

It's called the Painted Flower K5767

Less is more - color scheme

This is the color inspiration photo for this week's challenge over at the blog Less is More, which can be found here.

And this is my very simple CAS card which I made with three distress markers; Tea dye, spun sugar and antique linen.

Flower stamp is Darkroom doors, sentiment is Crafty Individuals.
A CAS card is not easy for me to do and it took me several times to stamp it to my liking. Here is what I did with the panels I wasn't happy with:

I just make a grid and have two cards.

Have a lovely weekend.
