Moxie Fab 75 Challenges Week - Make an Itty Bitty card

The fifth challenge this week on the Moxie Fab World blog is to make an Itty Bitty card. Yesterday's challenge was to make your own stamp but that just didn't work out.

I have a template for two tags, one bigger than the other. Normally, I pick papers that go together and then adhere the small one to the big one. This time I folded a piece of card stock double and placed the tag on the fold before I cut around it. That way I have a tag-card. I stamped with French foliage Stampin Up stamps to enhance the patterned paper, meaning I stamped some subtle script and two postmarks. Then I stamped the leaf, cut it out and adhered it to the tag. I added a sentiment from Penny Black. The hole at the top of the tag just goes through the front of the tag-card, for a piece of twine.

I have some more ideas with this design.

 This card is the actual 3x3". I punched out some squares from scraps.

Moxie Fab Challenge Week 2 & 3

The second challenge this week on the Moxie Fab World blog is to make a card with a window. I don't do this very often so I loved the challenge.

I colored the Floral blossom cling from Hero Arts (CG434) first with distress markers, quite randomly and sprayed it with water before I stamped it onto a piece of cardstock and cut it out. I already had this window card which was in a Christmas pack (very cheap from the Aldi :)). I then stamped the Hello/Thinking of you sentiment on the inside, with onyx black versafine ink. I stamped with the card closed so that I knew it was in the middle. Then I glued the backside of the flower, just where it needed to adhere to the cardstock, so that the card remains nice on the inside as well. Added two little pearl embellishments and the card is ready.

The third challenge this week on the Moxie Fab World blog is to make your own background paper. This I do do quite a lot. I chose the SPRING sentiment from hero Arts to do it with stamping six times.

I stamped a piece of card stock with the SPRING stamp from Hero Arts, six times to make my own background. Then I used a flower cling which had been inked up randomly with distress inks and sprayed with water and stamped right in the middle.When dry, I then gold-embossed a fern over the top.  I added the flower, a button and thought it needed a sentiment. I decided on Merci beaucoup and because it wouldn't fit horizontally, I stamped it vertically.As I need quite a few thank you cards, I often go for this stamp!

Moxie Fab Challenge Week

The challenge this week on the Moxie Fab World blog is to create a paper crafted card that uses 10 or more embellishments in an innovative way.

Here I used 10 pearl and gem embellishments on my Happy birthday card. I also used a strip of Washi tape and a scrap strip that I found in my scrap basket. The bird and the wreath were in there as well, which I received from Helle just recently. The sentiment and background stamping are Hero Arts stamps.

Paper Crafting Tips and Tricks Week: The Journaling Cards Challenge

I love these challenge weeks that Cath hosts on the Moxie Fab World Blog! I won't be able to do all the challenges, but this one really inspired me. Cath says: 'Created as journaling prompts for layouts, journaling cards aren't just for scrapbookers any more'! The challenge can be found here. Even though I don't have any journaling cards, I found this one which was for free download on the Internet. Now, I'm wishing I did have some because the possibilities are endless with them!

This is the card I made, using Hero Arts Stamps. The roses, from the Pattern, heart and flowers set CL596, have been embossed and painted with distress ink dried Marigold. The whole sentiment reads: I am thankful for... YOU, which is part of a sentiment which I stamped.

As I had some scraps over, I thought I would use a journaling card to make a Tag too. The sentiment reads, I am thankful for... the little things, which once again is part of a Hero Arts sentiment.

26/10 - Then, I actually did find a journaling card in my stash, so I thought I would make it into a little love-letter for my DH... The writing is on the back of course... This little heart is from Hero Arts too, never used it until now.

31/10 - I have a couple more Journaling cards to share, so instead of creating another link, I'm adding them to this one

And I made this one which was a case of one of my Blog friends Hellemor's cards, for theStitching and Sewing challenge, which can be found here

 

I stitched around the edge and then turned the panel over before I adhered the stamped panel and I stamped a faux zigzag HA stamp at the bottom.
