Happy Birthday vintage style

I made this a while ago in my continuing effort to finish up my scraps.

I am trying not to download anything or print images out until my pile has diminished.
The stamps for this are mostly Hero Arts.

It is still sweltering weather here. I don't venture outdoors in the afternoon until after four o'clock. Luckily it cools off in the evening and I can sit outside in the quiet and enjoy the swallows and the sunset.

  3. Beautiful, Jacqueline! And a great idea to use up your scrap pile (mine is overflowing, too). Our heat finally broke Friday night.....hope yours does soon, too. It's miserable to have to live with.

  4. This is just beautiful! It takes a lot of determination to use up the scrap pile rather than break into something. Good for you!!

  5. I have just found your blog as one of your tags caught my eye on Louise's blog.

I love your style. The colours, the images and the way everything is put together. Beautiful.

  6. What a tricky goal you have set yourself - not to download anymore images until you use up your stash, rather you than me LOL. Another sublime card. Any of your artwork received in the mail would cheer up anyone's day. Try to keep cool. Lynne M

  7. You are doing wonderful things with your scraps, love this card a lot! I especially love the little glimpses of hydrangea on the background and the beautiful image in the oval frame...simply fabulous! I'm glad that you can enjoy cooler evenings and get a break from the heat. We are still having very odd weather here, we don't see the sun until after 4pm and the temperature hasn't gotten higher than 75 for days now. I'm not complaining though! Still praying for milder temps for you.
    blessings,
    nancy

  8. Wow, what a beautiful card, and what a fun and challenging task you have set for yourself! I have tried to do a "scrap" card every so often, but your results are much more lovely. :)

  9. What a beautiful card Jacqueline. I wish I could do this sort of shabby chic/vintage the way you... your sense of colour and design is fabulous. I know you don't want it too hot... but I hope you get to enjoy the warmth for a while more.
