Hope you are having a relaxing Sunday.
I wanted to revisit a Vintage orientated card today and chose one from February 2009, below. If people ask themselves how do I keep record - then the answer is, I don't - the Flickr gallery does it for me! Once again, if you are out of inspiration, this is a great way to get it again :)
This is my original. I kept the original design, just changed the colors, stamps and image.
If you are interested in which stamps I used, yesterday I received the new Pink Paislee papers and stamps - these are totally up my street and I love them!
I am editing this post to show you a wild orchid we have growing in the garden. I believe this one is a ophrys sphegodes, it looks like a bee. They are so beautiful. This is one of the common sorts.
Here it is a bit closer by:
Both cards are stunning Jacqueline. I really like the blue one.
ReplyDeleteI remember that card! Wonderful update on it, and thanks for showing the new Pink Paislee....might have to give those a look!
ReplyDeleteLove the remake of the cards. It is interesting to see how you re-visit something done previously. Beautiful cards both of them. I love the mixed colored backgrounds. The stamps are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLovely cards-I especially like your re-do. Amazing stamp set--that's up my street too!
ReplyDeleteLove both of your cards! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Jacqueline, I always amazed at how you know where to stamp over patterned paper, I am always afraid I am going to mess it up!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! Both of these cards are breath-taking. Your stamped collage backgrounds are exquisite, and I especially love the color washes in the older card - blues and purples are my favorites. I love this series that you are doing, something old, something new - beautiful to see the new takes.
ReplyDeleteLove the way you've changed the colors, Jacqueline! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI didn't think you could improve on that original design, but I love the new version so much! Those new papers and stamps have been used to their full advantage. How wonderfully beautiful and inspiring!
ReplyDeleteblessings~
That a great idea. I Love both your cards. Your new stamps is amazing and very useful.
ReplyDeleteJacqueline,I just found your blog and my mind is completely blown. I love your style and your philosophy. I immediately put this address into my favorites. This will quickly become one of my refuges. Thank you for sharing. Question. Your new stamps are photopolymer. I noticed that they give really nice impressions on your paper. Do you do anything special to your clear stamps to get such crisp impressions? What kind of ink do you use with them? Thanks in advance.
ReplyDeleteLove both these cards and the wild orchids in your garden. They are so beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteGogeous re-visiting of this card, I can certainly see those gorgeous pp's working for you instantly! I love Pink Paislee too but have not bought too many things from them, will have to venture out and see what else they have too!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards have the perfect nostalgic look and it's gorgeous. Perfect choice of papers and colors; and there is always a touch of elegance in your projects.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures of that wild orchid! A wonderful sign of spring :)

ReplyDeleteDie stempels, wauw wat prachtig. Inderdaad, helemaal jouw stijl!
